How to Nominate Someone for Sky Therapy: A Simple Guide to Sharing the Sky

You don’t need to be a pilot to give someone a flight.
You just need five minutes, a little love, and a name.

At Texas Paramotor, we’ve flown dozens of passengers through our Sky Therapy program — individuals who never thought flight would be possible again. Some are in wheelchairs. Some are living with cognitive challenges. Some just need something hopeful to hold onto.

And in almost every case, they got there because someone nominated them.

If you’re thinking about it, here’s everything you need to know.

Who Can You Nominate?

The short answer? Anyone who would benefit from the experience of flight.

The long answer includes:

  • Paraplegics or quadriplegics
  • Individuals with physical limitations
  • People on the autism spectrum
  • Amputees or stroke survivors
  • Veterans with PTSD or injuries
  • Children or adults with chronic illness
  • Caregivers who rarely receive anything for themselves
  • Anyone who just needs a moment of freedom

We believe in giving wings to those who carry the heaviest loads. That’s who this is for.

What Do We Look For?

Sky Therapy is not a lottery. It’s a labor of love. We read every submission personally — and we’re not looking for “sob stories.” We’re looking for people who will be moved by the experience.

When nominating someone, you can include:

  • A few sentences about why you’re nominating them
  • Any accessibility needs we should be aware of
  • Your contact info in case we need to follow up
  • Optional: a photo or quote (only if you’re comfortable)

You don’t need to say the perfect thing. You just need to say something true.

What Happens After You Submit

Once we receive a nomination:

  1. We review it within 7–10 days.
  2. Our team will reach out to learn more and coordinate a flight.
  3. We’ll work with the nominee’s family or caregiver to plan a safe, accessible tandem experience.
  4. The flight happens — and we all smile.

Every flight is conducted by experienced pilots with adaptive gear, specialized training, and a heart for service.
All flights are 100% free.

“We’ll figure out a way to make it happen.” — Ryan Glowka

You Don’t Have to Be Sure. Just Be Willing.

If you’re thinking about someone right now — someone who’s been through more than most — nominate them. Let us take care of the rest.

You’re not signing them up for a course. You’re opening a door.
A few feet off the ground, life feels lighter. Let them feel that.
